  • List of current medications
  • Any imaging results or physician reports
  • Notes on your pain patterns, activity limitations, and goals

For ICBC and WorkSafeBC claims

Obtain pre-approval from your adjuster or case manager before your first session.

Mental preparation

Kinesiology requires active participation and effort. You'll be challenged physically, but always within safe limits. Progress requires consistency with both clinic sessions and home exercises.

Post-Session Recovery

Delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) is common and expected, particularly in the early stages of training or after progressing to new exercises

24-48 hours before
  • Muscle tenderness and mild stiffness
  • Temporary fatigue
  • Slight increase in discomfort (should not be severe)
  • These symptoms typically peak 24-48 hours after exercise and resolve within 2-3 days. This is normal adaptation, not injury.
2 hours before:
  • Stay well hydrated
  • Get adequate sleep
  • Perform light active recovery (walking, gentle stretching)
  • Apply heat to sore muscles if comfortable
  • Continue with prescribed home exercises
When to contact your Kinesiologist

If you experience sharp pain during exercises, joint pain that persists beyond a few days, or symptoms that significantly worsen rather than gradually improve
